Fundraising Ideas

While I'm thrilled with the level of sponsorship we have thus far in our group, we definitely need to also have the capacity to be self sufficient should the need arise, and it wouldn't hurt to have some surplus funds for a rainy day either. So we need fundraiser ideas that we can put into action. I've pitched a few ideas in the back like maybe getting some girls to model with some of the cars and making it into a calendar we can sell on campus or whatever, the cliche car wash, anything really, but we just need some ideas coming in so we can at least make a decision one way or another and get our plan rolling and get that dough rolling in.

during Homecoming the paintball team used to take our air bunkers and barrow little Co2 Sypder guns. Then we'd setup the bunkers in the fields next to the stadium, and charge people to shoot at us

Lol so should we get some go carts and let people drive around? or maybe RC car racing? Kyle? lol

Whatever you wanna sell I got a store to sell it in. The idea for the calendar is awesome but who is going to pay the initial cost?

Well obviously the ideal idea would be to have one of our sponsors either help foot the bill or maybe work out a deal with one of the print shops for payment of some kind, thats a good idea about the store though, would your dad go for it?

I will talk to him, see what he says. But we need a ligit calendar if we do one cuz we are talking about college students buying this but no one will pay more then $10, shoot I wouldnt even pay $10

With the right models and cars and scouting of locations, absolutely.

sure, hell we could even post flyers around campus, i have a printer, just give me contact info for who the girls need to get in contact with, and a brief summery of what the job entitles, and im sure the 1st thing asked is how much will it pay... chicks are all about the green, the reason i don't have one

Lol you just have to know how to ask, the printer isn't the problem as much as formatting and coming up with the final display. But it would have to be extremely high quality prints, and when I say high quality I mean full color with full saturation on proper semi gloss paper, folded marked and seamed properly. While I can do this on a one off basis, mass producing these would not be something I would have the patience or time to do. Thus why we would use a professional shop where they've spent the money already on machines.

ya on the calender i meant i have a printer for flyers XD but i have asked a few girls this morning and they seemed interested.

lol ah okay my bad on the printer part but awesome about the girls, one thing you can tell them is it can be free exposure for some girls that are interested in a career in modeling because depending on how the shots turn out they can add them to their portfolio.

ah good point never though about that before. also do we have a photographer? if not I'm sure the same could apply for a student here, something to add to the portfolio.

I have a camera and I've taken classes for it and I can take decent photos. I also know some photo majors that are good friends of mine that I'm sure would be willing to help out.

well before we do hardcore recruiting for this we need to cement this as an idea that the rest of the team would agree with. We need to agree on the logistics, things like what is acceptable clothing for the shoot and make sure that we have the funds and or resources to mass produce the calendars for sale. Lot of little details before the actual shoot starts, if we don't do calendars we could always could make big posters too. So we just have some more stuff to talk about. We need more members of the team to post on the forum.

Lol I know man, we'll probably still end up doing the shoot at some point for fin, its just gonna be whether or not we have girls modeling or not and whether or not its for a purpose or just for fun.

This Sunday is our unofficial photoshoot!! Spread the news. Drift event, cruise to market street, then cruise to hooters, these pics will be used for website and maybe future flyers. This way we get our legit members cars pictured,! Hope everyone can make it!
